GeoEnvironmental and its Dutch colleagues can deliver a variety of desilting solutions which are tailored to suite the specific environments each site possesses.

WATER COURSE MANAGEMENT

Dredging options including hydraulic cutter suction, pontoon mounted excavators and clam shell excavation can be used to remove silts from river beds, lakes and tidal estuaries. The use on board GPS systems ensure that the correct dig profile and excavation depth are maintained while management of the silts, once on shore, is undertaken using geotextile tube dewatering techniques. The material can then be re-used or disposed off site and GeoEnvironmental can offer sound advise on the most appropriate and cost effective alternatives that are available for the excavated silt.

We can assist clients in obtaining the necessary permits and Geoenvironmental’s Environment Permit allows for treatment of contaminated silts to assist in the most appropriate reuse option.
